Drawing Music

This post is gonna be more of an update and explanation than an actual blog post but I don't think anyone will be disappointed.
I am still planning on uploading my music in March. In one of my earlier posts, I think I said early March was the expected timeframe. That is the timeframe I would like to stick to. However, I may push it back to mid or late March, for reasons I am going to explain in the next paragraph.
For the video that will accompany my music on YouTube, I was originally thinking about having colors that went with the music, kind of like a scene in Fantasia. I couldn't find a program or a way to do that that didn't take a long time to do or used AI. I then looked at images on Google that may work but couldn't find any that work that also had usage rights. I also did not want to take someone else's art work and use it in my video, even with their permission. So, I decided to draw my own artwork that will go with the music. Now, I'm not gonna take an image someone drew, copy it and say it's mine. First, that's immoral and illegal and I will not pass someone's imagination off as my own. Second, I have my own ideas of what I want as the image, so I am planning on drawing those.
Now, there are going to be people saying, "Why not use AI?" Several reasons. First, as I mentioned above, I have my own ideas for my art that I want to show. Second, I like the way hand-drawn art looks in this case. Digital art is cool but for my videos, I want a hand-drawn look. Finally, I am not a fan of AI. It feels like cheating or scamming to me. Plus, I don't think it looks as good as a human artist and lacks the emotion that you get when you look at art a human produces.
I am working on some preliminary sketches now and hope to have drawings I'm proud of soon. Now, I took art lessons as a kid but have not drawn in years, so I am relearning a lot of things I lost over the years. My art work may not be the best, but I can always draw something better and replace the drawing in the video. As I mentioned above, I am still planning for March but the exact timeframe is subject to change at this point.
I hope that you will enjoy what I come up with, both visually and musically. My next update will hopefully have more positive news. Until next time!
